Yamaha | VL1 |
Description | First synth simulating physical strings, wind and reed sounds, also simple synth sounds (since V2.0). special FX and controller table for controller adaption. Special parmeters: driver and resonators like blowing a string and bowing a flute. 3 editors on Macs OS9 needed to really edit it. Lots of EQs and FX. Structure: Driver - Resonator - Modifier und Pipe/String + FX with special Envelopes (most with initial Levels). 5 delays make one part of the modifier as another resonator. Since PM is based on Delays there are several dampers, filters and delay/reso controls. V2: parameters updated and more suitable for "non real" sounds (recommended!) Also as Rack version VL1m |

| Velocity | As with a piano, the harder you hit a key, the louder the sound, unlike most organs which always produce the same loudness no matter how hard you hit a key. | Aftertouch | Pressing a key after you activated it. Channel Aftertouch, no matter which key, it will send a Channel message. Poly Aftertouch, sends the pressure per key instead of the whole channel. |
