Vermona | DRM-1 mkII

Description

The DRM1 MKII is a completely analog constructed drum and percussion synthesizer with flexible sound generation and simple user interface.
For anyone who does not like to finished Drumsamples- or loops, the DRM1 MKII have the optimal tool for screws and fun.

The DRM1 MKII has eight independent drum channels, each with seven knobs for sound shaping, as well as a panoramic and a volume knob. Furthermore, there is a single output on the front panel, which can be used in conjunction with a Y-cable as insert point for external effects devices, and a trigger button to trigger the sound per channel.

The drum channels are divided into the following categories:

3 x DRUM
MULTI
SNARE
2 x CYMBAL / HI HAT
CLAP

The sounds of DRM1 MKII can be triggered via MIDI, MIDI channel and note numbers for the individual sounds can be freely programmed by the user.

The DRM1 MKII is equipped with an out / insert jack on the front panel for each channel. The back is equipped with the master output (L / R), as well as a MIDI IN and a MIDI THRU jack. Optional 10 standard trigger inputs can be retrofitted. Thus, the DRM1 MKII easily be driven by analog step-sequencers or pads.

The DRM1 MKII was provided with an internal power supply. The housing has been designed so that they accommodate the DRM1 MKII both the 19 "rack (5U) or can use as a desktop unit.

Features - Real analog circuitry

- 8 separate channels
- 72 knobs for real-time access to the parameters

The channels of DRM1 MKII

DRUM 1-3

The first three channels of DRM1 MK II are identical. They allow analog bass drum and tom sounds to wacky sound effects generate. Parameters: Decay, Pitch Bend (up / down), Attack, FM Int, FM Freq (frequency modulation intensity and speed), Distortion, Pan, Volume)

Multi This channel has three oscillators can be detuned up to today. Thus classic analog Cowbells and crazy sound effects can be created. Parameters: Decay, Pitch Bend (up / down), Attack, Pitch2, PITCH3 (pitch for Oscillator 2 and 3 to Osc relative 1.), High Pass, Pan, Volume

Snare

The sound diversity of the snare channel of DRM1 MK II ranges from known analog snare drums to new analog creations. Parameters: Decay Rev, Reverb, Decay N., Noise, Attack, Resonance, Filter, Pan, Volume

CYMBAL1 / 2

Cymbal 1 and 2 are identical and produce analog pelvic and / or hi-hat sounds (open / closed). The Decay knob sets the decay time of the open Hats and pelvis in relation to the Closed Hi Hat a.
The two cymbal channels can be two separate MIDI key numbers, one for open- and closed Hat for trigger. Parameters : Decay, filter, Bend, Attack, Resonance, mix, pitch, pan, volume

Clap Channel to generate typical analog Claps. Parameters: Decay Rev, Reverb, Clap, Noise, Resonance, Filter, High Pass, Pan, Volume

Trig Each channel has a button to trigger the sound.

MIDI

The DRM1 MK II can be triggered via MIDI. MIDI channel us key number can be set arbitrarily.

Single outs

Each channel of the DRM 1 MK II is equipped with a separate output, which can be used by means of a Y-cable as channel inserts to connect an external effects device.

As individual outputs the signal can optionally be removed from the total output or fed out via both outputs will.

The DRM-1 mkII from Vermona was blue or silver.

Velocity As with a piano, the harder you hit a key, the louder the sound, unlike most organs which always produce the same loudness no matter how hard you hit a key. Aftertouch Pressing a key after you activated it. Channel Aftertouch, no matter which key, it will send a Channel message. Poly Aftertouch, sends the pressure per key instead of the whole channel.
Values for OSC, LFO, Filter, Envelope are per voice unless stated otherwise.
