Kachkanar | Maestro |
Description | The Maestro is a four voice analog/digital synthesizer. It offers 20 presets arranged by style on the front panel. An on board X/Y joystick allows the player to manipulate pitch and vibrato depth. The instrument was the first soviet synthesizer with a microprocessor and was manufactured in the mid to latter 1980s at the Kachkanar military radio plant where the Polivoks synthesizer was manufactured. The instrument allows you to play 4 voices at once and use the knobs and a joystick to edit and change the sound in real time. The unit has a resonant analog filter as well as an arpeggiator/tremolo effect with speed control. The LFO has a triangle waveform to modulate pitch, while the arpeggiator has a hold function to let the player change make live edits to the sound including changing the speed of the arpeggiator and LFO. |
