Description | The WCS-1 is a MIDI synthesizer module that utilizes a digital oscillator followed by all discrete analog circuits in order to produce unusual and very "fat" sounds. The exclusive wave addition resource together with a dual input VCF and a lightning fast VCA ensures its powerful sound generation capabilites, being an ideal instrument for any electronic music production. A large number of waveform combinations can be generated by the WCS-1. It contains most the classic waveshapes like Square, Saw, and Triangle, along with many other combination waves, making this synth a powerful timbre palette. The resonant filter of the WCS-1 increases the final sound volume and when it is set to values higher than 80%, a filter overload is expected to occur and consequently cause distortion. For certain musical styles, this type of filter overload may be welcome because it brings a more aggressive characteristic to the sound. |
